Welcome to Word-Filled Wednesday!
What counts is your life. Is it green and blossoming? Because if it is deadwood it goes on the fire!
Luke 3:9
———————-
All I can say is ouch!!! lol what a tough one! We were burning some old “junk” left overs from building and there was this amazing blaze.. you could feel the heat all the way into the house (with the windows open).. it really made me think how much “heat” deadwood gives off… and how easily we can spend out life putting out those fires if we don’t clean clean up the mess, put it forward and give it to God. What deadwood is holding you back today? Give them to the ultimate firestarter.. not only will he burn the old, he’ll replace it with something better!
God Bless!

Ouch is right! I want to be green and blossoming for sure! Great exhortation!
I agree…Ouch! But what a great reminder to get rid of the deadwood in our lives. Thanks Amy Deanne.
Hope you have a blessed day
)
What a solemn reminder! I want to be green and blossoming for the Lord too. Thanks, Amy, for sharing. Happy WFW!
Nice to be back here! Happy WFW everyone…
Ah and Amy, thanks for the reminder…that verse hit a spot!
He will always fulfill His promise.
I’m here again! Yes, I’m back with a different fire. I’m posting it in a little while. I like the fire you’ve got here! God is our refiner. God bless you, Sis Amy! Shalom!
I agree – Great reminder to get rid of the deadwood in our lives to make room so we can be green blossm beautifully. Thank you for your blog.
Okay stepping on my toes a bit…thanks for the reminder, my friend. Blessings to you.
Wow, so very awesome.
WOW! Powerful and sobering. I too want to be green and flourishing. Thannks for the reminder.
ouch is right…
And oddly, (i am sure you got my email last night about what’s going on around here) I am wide awake at 4 in the morning because I’ve been analizing what is important in this life of mine…
As I try and blossom…I used your post again because I couldn’t say it better.
Thanks. BTW check out my post today if you have a chance. We need extra prayer today.
Have a great day. Off to the foodbank.
Hugs,
Sherry
Wow…this is so powerful! It’s early in the day and I’ve already got some real truths to ponder on and pray about today. Thanks!!
Happy WFW!
What a great lesson, Amy Deanne. I echo your sentiments! Beautiful picture and verse to go along with it.
Good morning, Merry SONshine!
Love your WORD today, and the picture is flamin’
I want to be green and BLOOMIN….!
GOD KEEP ME FROM BEIN DEAD WOOD!
Blessings, Sister!

Ouch is right…but oh SO true.
Thank-you for this amazing reminder today.
Be BLESSED.
Ouch is right! What a powerful and sobering reminder for us today. I don’t want to be dead wood! Thanks Amy!
Blessings,
Tracy
What an awesome pic and verse….and what thoughts to go along with it….WHEW, it’s hot!! Thanks for bringing this to mind for me…everytime I step outside today…..lots of “dead” stuff here because of the drought…NOW, you gave me something to think on…:)
Thanks Amydeanne
This was my first entry with Word Filled Wednesday. This is a great meme. You got the Ouch part right….I think we all have some “deadwood” around that is just waiting to be burned! Thanks for a great post.
Ouch! I agree. Something to think and pray about.
Thanks for sharing!
Cheryl
Cool, picture! But, the verse you choose was AWESOME! How I want to be green!
Ouch for sure. Hopefully we let it go! Have a great Wednesday Amy!
I agree- ouch!! Great verse to ponder! Oh, how I want to be green and fruitful~ never deadwood.
Blessings!
I have to agree. Ouch is right! What a powerful verse. So glad you shared it with us today!
great picture and verse and yes Ouch- it’s time to get rid of the deadwood. A thing to ponder over today-the deadwood in my life. Thanks
OUCH is right! Boy I needed that today!! Thank you so much for sharing this. We need to be reminded that we need to continue to grow in Him.
Fantastic verse and a great reminder. I had been thinking about this last night. It’s so true because just holding on to something that is no longer viable only serves to keep dragging us down rather than letting us go forward.
Wow, what a challenging verse! I didn’t realize there was a verse that encourages us to “be green”!
What a great word, and one which I think I needed to hear today! Thanks so much for sharing and for hosting us each Wednesday!
Blessings!
Let us all have the courage to cut away the deadwood no matter how painful!
Pruning leads to growth! I want to blossom and flourish!
John’s words previous to that verse are completely jarring!
Luke 3:8 If you have really turned from your sins, produce fruit that will prove it! And don’t start saying to yourselves, `Avraham is our father’! For I tell you that God can raise up for Avraham sons from these stones!
Indeed we are to be our own Fruit Inspectors!
Bountiful Blessings!
If you have ever been through a fire you know that what grows afterward is often amazingly beautiful. I think that is often the purpose of the “fire” God brings into our lives.
Sorry, I signed in and didn’t realize my post was saved as a draft and not on my blog. It’s there now, I hope you will return. Great verse, too. I can tell you first hand that throwing the “dead wood” of unforgiveness into the fire last week with my dad has definitely made my life “blossom” and more “green”.
Thanks for your meme…I love it.
Been having to give Him some “deadwood” lately. And you’re right He definitely replaces it with something better! Hope you are doing well!
Hey Amydeanne! Thank you for this jump start today! As you can see, I’m moving awfully slllllooooowwwwww. Luke 3:9, what a sobering thought and a great reminder not to be idle or feverishly involved in activity in which no treasure is being stored in Heaven!
I finally got WFW up on my site! Hope it blesses others! Better late than never, right?!
Ouch! Luke sure means business. And infinity ouch if we land in the ETERNAL FIRE!!! Oh, God, preserve us and give us strength to be green and blossoming trees for your glory.
Coincidentally, I do have green and blossoming trees on my Word-Filled Wednesday this week.
Come take a look.
my sincerest apology. it was late when i realized that i saved a url link to my post at my “thankful thursday”. please forgive me. i will be more careful next time. and to all who found their way to my wfw post… thanks a lot for your kind comments. i am soooo encouraged.
Good one…..I am enjoying these trendy pictures. Probably the wrong word but after battling a virus on this machine for 3 days I am sort of wordless……vbg.
This post spoke to me. I have many things that I need to give to God to let Him burn. He is working on me daily to refine me. I know this will continue to be a process until the day I meet Him face to face.
I just found this site and I love it!! :0) I have participated in a Wordless Wednesday, but I would rather have a “Wordfilled Wednesday”!! :0) I will definatly be here next week. ;0)
Hi,
