I love the idea of Advent Conspiracy. We are always trying to get people more aware of the needs of others at our church – by having an Oxfam/Tear Australia table to buy fair trade things etc.

CONSPIRACY! Are you on their mailing list? I would have linked you up to M4M if I was home today earlier and noticed but I had 2 great participants * more than likely they’ll be by here anyways!
Thanks for the sweet wish…but no Turkey day for me down here in Mexico! No oven! They prepare Turkeys in some of the big stores but they make them sweet & cost over $50…but usually do not have until Christmas but they’re catching on…so no Turkey Day for me at least this week…but alot of GIVING THANKS! I really miss the cranberry sauce & stuffing & rutabagas! But mashed potatoes …those I can make!
So now that my comment is a little here & a little there…hope you can figure it out!!! I certainly think you have chosen a good video this week…I love “The Least of These” but it has Silent Night…I don’t think it’s from Advent Conspiracy though! It’s very moving…on the same page as this one!
These are lovely. I’m making out my own advent calendar (a la Kristen’s suggestion at We are THAT family) and have included on it many charitable activities to do with the kids. We will be picking a charity and donating the equivalent to 10% of what we normally spend on Christmas gifts to it. Its a small contribution, but every little bit helps.
