So I’m on week two of the Respect Dare by Nina Roesner.
Week two was harder than I was expecting. The challenges weren’t anymore difficult than the first, just remembering and putting them into practice while I’m in PMS mode is one of those things lol… I don’t want to and my attitude sucks BUT that doesn’t give me an excuse to behave badly. I NEED to learn how to control myself better (or have a vacation 7 days out of the month, which probably isn’t going to ever happen lol)
One of the days that stuck out this week for myself is day 11; whatever we pay attention to grows. If we’re focused on the negative can we really be surprised that it grows? (I’m actually amazed at how often I’m surprised by that lol)
The verse of the day was Philippians 4:8
“God specifically tells us that we are to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admireable, excellent or praiseworthy. If our thoughts are constantly focusing on those things, we are living life through the lens of the Holy Spirit. “
Wow. Have you thought of living life like this? I mean really living it like this. To hold our tongues and to really focus on the positive, instead of tearing down others (especially our husbands?)
Can you try this, this week with me? to work on memorizing this verse, and focusing on such things?
Join me next week for another moment of the Respect Dare!

I bought the book…it’s supposed to come Thursday! I’m excited and really nervous!
Love this verse. One of my alltime favs. Good for you for sticking with the Respect Dare! :~D (Beautiful graphic!)
Oh man, I can relate to the PMS thing. *Big Sigh* It’s hard to remember to hold it together!!!
This is one of my favorite verses! Certainly need to focus on it each day.
