The Mission of The 160 Acre Woods

The mission of The 160 Acre Woods is to build readership and introduce people into a relationship with God … some through my links, and some through photography (Word Filled Wednesdays), and some (like The PMS club) by offering a variety of information from a struggling Christian perspective. The 160 Acre Woods is a physical place, which we eventually hope will be used something specially designed by God for God – it’s just at the baby stage.

About the Woman behind the 160:

I am a thirty-something sleep deprived woman who strives to live her life to the fullest as a wife, mother of 4 beautiful children on earth, and 3 in heaven, & 3 fur babies, an artist, and other various trades. I am struggling Christian, who is trying to get over the fact that we live in an imperfect world.

I have been a website designer/photographer for many years (worked/played on/at designing bbs’s in the ’80’s before the internet was popular.) I have been working on my own Christian photography for about 5 years now and previously worked at an internet marketer, and graphic artist before becoming a parent. We have 4 children, 5 and under, thus I am at home and do graphics at home when time allows.

I’ve been an avid reader since I could read. You’ll always find me with lots of books around my house (too many I admit! lol) The purpose of my blogs are to build readership and introduce people into a relationship with God … some through my links, and some through photography, and some (like The PMS club) by offering a variety of information from a struggling Christian perspective.

What I believe

• I believe in One God who is the Father, Jesus & the Holy Spirit.
• Everyone falls short of the glory of God… especially myself… but am saved by grace through Jesus Christ, my personal savior.
• Christian should live for the glory of God and the well being of others; that our actions should be blameless before the world; that we should be a faithful steward of our possessions.
• That we are accountable to God.

Statements of Purpose

• The 160 Acre Woods is meant to glorify God and encourage other Christians and non-Christians by the posts.
• My family comes before blogging, God comes first.
• To encourage my brain to work and my artwork to glorify God.
• I write from the heart, and try and present me in my posts (nobodies making me blog ~ I do it b/c I enjoy it!) with this comes the good, the bad, and the funny!

Present Mission of The 160 Acre Woods

To find the best use for the physical presence of the 160 Acre Woods and ministry, as well as sifting through the newly formed motherhood (it’s always a new stage isn’t it?) and life issues while keeping God in focus! (please pray with me on what God has in store for our land!)
