Angels, myth or biblical?
Do you believe in angels?
Do you think they are like cupid? Or mighty warriors?
Have you encountered an angel before? Or believed you have?
Even better yet, what does the Bible say about them?
I remember all the craziness of the 1990′s when angelism was big and everyone and their dog had an angel hanging off of something! Birthstone angels, and angel pins, not to mention guardian angel pins with for every vocation under the sun. It’s hard not to think that this book was going to be full of crazy talk lol. I was almost worried I was going to regret reviewing this book, but I was surprised in a good way when I finally sat down with it.
Angels
Who They Are and How They Help–What the Bible Reveals
by Dr. David Jeremiah
Dr. David Jeremiah brings to light the biblical accounts of angels and that they worship God. If we focus on angels we are taking away from God which is wrong. He distinguishes between biblical angels and “angelism”, as well as also states that all angels are not from God, after all lucifer was an angel at one point as well. Dr. Jeremiah provides reliable resources, such as accounts from Billy Graham or Corrie Tenboom.
I was impressed with this book and appreciated his down to earth take of these angelic creations. It’s a bit heavy, but in a good way. I think if you are looking for a through study of God’s word on angels you will enjoy this book. I will be probably reading it again when I want to study more on angels!
Curious about it?

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. Matthew 13:41
Whoa! I don’t remember this verse when I came across it! What does this make you think??
